Does anyone remember the maker of the Army vs. Giant Bugs sets from the early 60's (think Beetles the size of Marx Army men tanks)? IIRC these were in blue plastic. Different poses from classic Marx WW-II but not Vietnam era with M16s.

Nope, but I do remember the movie "Them".

A great flick for this sort of thing.

Yeah, Hamilton's Invaders. The vehicle drivers were white and in a seated pose, and the army men were blue. You pulled a string that came out the anal pore of the giant insect, and when you let go, it would waddle up to the soldier it was attacking. In theory, contact with the soldier would make it close its pincers, but that didn't actually work.

I never found out how who Hamilton was.

I had a Horrible Hamilton Playset. It was my favorite thing when I was a kid. I wish I had one mint in the box right now. I saw one going for a grand on eBay.
