What I like best about this show is that it has guest speakers, I only wish more shows in the UK did likewise.

Crusade Wargames Show 2019 Guest Speakers Timetable
11:00 am
Gareth Glover: ‘Campaigning the Napoleonic Wars – do you consider the medical services requirement?'
An investigation of the organisation of hospital services in the Waterloo campaigns for all armies, realistic survival rates and case studies. A brand new study never done before.

12:00pm Midday
Dr Jonathan Hicks:‘Voices from Mametz Wood.'
It was possibly the most famous Welsh battle of the Great War. Jonathan Hicks, author of several books on Wales and the First World War, recounts some of the personal stories of the battle for Mametz Wood on the Somme in 1916. This is an illustrated talk.

13:00
Rob Jones: ‘Medieval Infantry Tactics'
How do foot soldiers fare in an age of cavalry? How were infantry forces raised and fielded? How did they fight? Rob Jones will be challenging some assumptions about medieval foot combat, and discussing ways in which we can incorporate this into our wargaming.

14:00
Peter Grehan: "H. G. Wells and the Daleks"
Catering for a mature sophisticated audience as well as appealing to younger fans of Doctor Who. Based on the content of his book Connecting Who: Artificial Beings, it specifically looks at how the works of H. G. Wells influenced the creation of the Daleks and how his vision was reinterpreted in the aftermath of World War 2 and the Cold War that followed it.

@coolork – it will be and hoping for nice fine day too

@Mr Steve – Thanks for that. We like to add something different and our Guest Speakers is one of our highlights. New speaker this year with Peter Grehan to add a little something different.

Also the Roleplaying experience

Just had confirmation that we now have permission for the 41st Regiment of Foot (Napoleonic reenactors) to do a live firing display outside which is good news.
