Do you play battles from the Hundred Years War on your miniatures tabletop?

darthfozzywig18 Jan 2019 7:46 p.m. PST

No, but I'd love to get a bunch of those Perry minis and do so.

KSmyth18 Jan 2019 9:04 p.m. PST

Yes. I'm obsessed. I have large numbers of figures for Lion Rampant, and another set of figures I will use for mass battles. Writing a set of suitable rules is on my to do list after my June retirement.

Bought a bunch of French and English (all Black Hat) when Scale Creep had a sale a couple years ago. Have huge plans of playing HYW. Haven't painted a thing.

Dagwood19 Jan 2019 8:52 a.m. PST

One advantage of fully armoured knights – they look almost the same after painting as they did before ….. (ducks)

Frederick Supporting Member of TMP19 Jan 2019 10:11 a.m. PST

A work in progress at the minute – My opponent finished the English about six years ago…but I got sidetracked because I decided I preferred it in 20mm so started painting both armies but now back on track…

Bobby W21 Jan 2019 4:49 a.m. PST

Yep.

grenadier al cheval21 Jan 2019 5:24 a.m. PST

Got a couple of scenarios in the work. Probably mid-year.

Have played several that others ran at cons.

Mad Guru Supporting Member of TMP03 Feb 2019 3:08 p.m. PST

I used to play it very often, field battles and sieges, but then about 9 years ago I got completely involved in another period and left gaming the HYW behind, sadly. Still own all my troops, castle parts, and siege engines though, so hopefully at some point I'll go back to it.

GGouveia03 Feb 2019 8:58 p.m. PST

Yep noth sides in 15mm and 28mm. I've used WAB, Day of Knights, Flower of Chivalry, DBA, BBDBA, Pole Axed, Impetus and Bloody Barons.
