"This is something that should probably be described as Bombad. Perhaps even muy Bombad.

Jar Jar Binks has had a bad rap in Star Wars pretty much ever since he was first introduced. He quickly transformed from comic relief character to the butt of all jokes, and when it wasn't Star Wars fandom cracking the jokes—and doing far worse that would leave an indelible mark on actor Ahmed Best's mental health—it was kind of Star Wars itself doing it…."

In the Shakespearean riff on "The Phantom Of Menace", Jar Jar has a soliquoy about pretendignt o be "rustic, rough tongue'd and slow of wit" in order to gain sympathy from the Jedi so they don't ignore his people when defending Naboo and the surface dwellers. I thought that was rather clever, and in keeping with the Bard's love of characters in subterfuge as well.

Jar Jar was the last straw for me. I have not watched a Star Wars movie since his debut.

Yes, but the recent movies would have been so much better with him in them. Or at least they couldn't have been worse.

JJB was the lowest point in a series of movies that were the low point of a storied franchise. The best thing that could have happened would have been if Liam Neeson would have cut him in half when they first met on Naboo.
