I may have brought this up previously and if so apologize.

From 1983-86 I was stationed at the old Norton AFB assigned to the Air Force IG. During that time I attended a convention in Southern California. Trying to find out the name of the convention and what happened to it.

Here is what I know/remember:

I am 90+ percent sure it was held at Chapman College, now Chapman University.
It featured both board and miniature gaming
There was no flea market that I can remember but in a small, circular, sunken area in the center of campus with concrete rings rising for seats they did hold an auction for board games folks were selling
Several buildings were used for the games. The most memorable was the gym where a very large Vietnam game was held on the floor and if memory serves me right was HO scale
There was also a large naval game, once again on the floor which appeared to use the Fletcher Pratt gaming system.
I dont remember vendors

Anyone identify the con, know what happened to it, and/or want to share memories on it? Though I had been in the hobby since 1968 this was my first "real" gaming con.

Thanks!

Oh my gosh, how the heck did you track that down? I think that must be the one! Timing is right. Current campus map shows Wilkerson hall right near the plaza with the circular area I remember. Many thanks slugbalancer.

Anyone have any other info on the con?
