I live in Germany and get this periodically. Depending on the lined source, there may be legal/copywrite issues with them providing content in Europe. But, do a google search on the subject and you'll find plenty of information. |

If you can't get that story, the Graun had one a couple of days ago: link – with a lot of the same material, but additionally suggesting that the victims' action against the company was the first class action lawsuit. |

Thanks. I grew up in Boston in the 1960s, but this is the first time that I have heard of the Great Molasses Flood. |

Locals in the North End (of Boston) used to claim that you could smell the molasses in the storm sewers well into the 1960's. BTW – Purity Distilling Co., the owner of the tank, used the molasses to make ethanol, which in mostly sold to explosives manufacturers to make ammunition. |
