You were asked – TMP link Have you ever attended this event, commemorating the re-taking of Fort Sackville in the Revolutionary War? spiritofvincennes.org 70% said "never heard of it before" 23% said "no" 5% said "too far away" |

The poll also said that only one person attended it.

Perhaps because the larger Rev War events are all in the East. No offense to the NWTA. |

A "Frontier On Fire". Ok, that was my overly dramatic segue, but there were very many skirmishes along the Ohio River, and all the way over to St. Louis during the AWI. Osprey's fairly new edition – Peckuwe 1780 – creates a good window to explore this campaign(ing). |

So the survey was about going to the re-enactment event. Kind of an odd thing for a miniatures page, but okay, I'm a re-enactor too. |

I have heard of the campaign. Had not heard of the reenactment. As a kid I remember a drawing of Clarke's troops wading through a flooded stream on their march to recapture Fort Sackville which showed a drummer boy floating on his drum. This naturally caused us to speculate if that would work. Fortunately we were never able to obtain an appropriate sized drum. |

It was a grueling march to get there. |
