After a reorganisation, I find I have more unpainted Perry Brunswickers than I need. There are 9 spare other ranks, a mounted occifer and a skirmisher – perfect for a unit under the rules I use. Assuming I paint them as a Rheinbund contingent from an Imagi-Nation, please help me with suggestions for the name of the country, the names of the Inhaber and actual commander, and the uniforms. My favourite mock-German name, von Heidensieg, is already spoken for. |

Homage to Flashman- Grand Duchy Of Strackenz! Grand Duchess Irma's Own, Colonel Count von Sternberg. I think it has to be pretty severe- maybe iron grey, with just some yellow facings to lighten things up. |

Here are some I use from time to time: Ibn Friezen der Heineyoff Luzen der Schlacht And a new one: Konrad von Poronkusema Poronkusema is a Finnish word meaning the distance a reindeer can go before it has to make a "pit" stop. |

Doe anybody else find that it fascinating that the Finns have a word for the distance between reindeer dumps? People assiduously noting this down, exchanging information and then classifying it in such a way that anybody familiar with reindeer can measure distances with the info. Inventively magnificent. |

It is a truth universally acknowledged that you have no control of a thread after the initial post…. |

Thank you, Gentlemen, building on some of your suggestions, I have settled on: Country: Quacke Infanterie Regiment Grossmenschen mit Weinbottel Inhaber: Furst Inlein Officer commanding: Oberstleutnant von Beisickel Quacke will be one of the dwarf states of the Confederation where, if you kick a ball too hard, you start an international incident. |

Well, one of the guys in my gaming group uses Baron Von Dooshenstein as a character in many of his games. Red coats (so the blood doesn't show and ruin the morale), brown trousers (so the … doesn't show ). |
