And I'd have to agree with Winston on this one, as my first post of the new year relates to the reason I haven't been very active on my blog. As I did pick up a model specifically for wargaming whilst there and do show it in the post, I have a somewhat tenuous excuse to post about it here. You didn't visit The Strand? I'm sorry, but with due respect to Foyle's (and remembering Foyle's as it once was) you can't place New York on your "been there, done that" list until you've visited The Strand. It would be like visiting London and missing the British Museum. (Oh, and of course a Yank visiting the UK has to get a photo of a police call box.) |

Sounds like a great visit – we were in New York Dec 27th to 30th with No 3 son to sate his thirst for Broadway plays and to see the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Show, which is well worth watching (including the camels – yes, they had real camels) |
