Censorship is the suppression of speech, public communication, or other information, on the basis that such material is considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive, or "inconvenient". Would you say that TMP currently has too much censorship, enough censorship, or not enough censorship? |

Too much. It's one of the bigger reasons I haven't posted here as much over the years, and why I usually keep mine informational or research-related only. I prefer Internet forums with as little moderation and intervention as possible. |

I would support consistent censorship. It should be obvious that left wing posters on TMP get censored more than right wing posters. HOWEVER, obnoxious posters on either side who can't take a hint seem to be evenly censored. Right wingers who sneer at snowflakes do get the hook. I wouldn't call it 90:10 in favor of right wingers. More like 60:40. Still biased, but not as much as motivated complainers would whine. There is no such thing as a 100% fair moderation. |

I'm surprised it is needed. There seems to be a lot more censorship here than in other online wargaming forums |

TMP has much more Censorship than it should need. |

Enough I would advocate just deleting a topic before it escalates to people being banned. Some of these flame wars go on for awhile and reach toxic levels. "I wouldn't call it 90:10 in favor of right wingers. More like 60:40."-Winston I have a theory as to why but it would start a flame war and I don't want anymore casualties, it has nothing to do with bias… |

I must live a slightly charmed life, because I don't remember seeing all that many flame wars here on TMP – and I've been here a long time. But then, I don't visit the Napoleonics or Modern boards very often, so that might have something to do with it. Seems they have a reputation. Bill, I do wish you would handle "chats" with malcontents yourself; the passing things off to sub-editors who have no real interest in, or involvement with, the hobby can feel a little surreal at times. I bear them no ill will – the wielding of power can be a tricky thing – but really, this aspect of the site should be in your hands or those of trusted gamers, as is done at LAF and some other forums. There, I've said my bit. |

For the most part, a bit too much, but the important part is how it is inconsistent. That is my problem. If everything is consistent, then it is easy to understand, however, being inconsistent only causes more disputes and issues. |

Enough. Flame wars are uncommon, here, based on the forums I visit within TMP. I avoid threads which I dislike. Easy to walk away. Enough stress in my life without getting involved in Internet tempests in tea cups! "Stay on target! Stay on target!…" Star Wars Gold Leader reference, during the attack on the Death Star. LOL! You, and the sub-editors keep TMP a friendly environment. Topics which veer away from miniatures, and gaming, are teacups I try to avoid. Cheers! |

Many times, we say 'no' to a complaint. Especially if the complain is about some right-winger curmudgeon sounding off. It's not the censorship I object to as it's uneven application that's always been the problem. |
