#10!

The Doctor would be very sorry to hear you say that.

I always thought that the Jerry Pournelle "Jamissaries" universe would make a great miniatures game setting.

Modern military unit transported by aliens to planet where they ahve been bringing groups of human soldiers every couple of centuries to harvest drugs…

All kinds of mixed historical periods.

Brilliant!

Very true

Well, it would be cheap, you could build an entire army of Daleks with a case of beer and some straws.
Although I would advise waiting until you sober up before trying to paint them.

I am waiting for the episode with the grumpy cat people.

Missing that last crucial bit of advice is how this happened …

And the daleks in the background.

And the show in general since 2005.

OUCH!!!! hurts my eyes!!!

I remember the old joke about how to escape Daleks, the most ruthless and dangerous aliens in the galaxy,… just find some stairs.

HEY, it just hit me, refer to above discussion re: Disco Destroyers.

No interest whatsoever in the new series, but I must say the good Doctor's exploits make for a fertile trove of gaming potential. You can basically use anything in the collection. As long as the terrain looks like a Welsh quarry, that is!

It's funny because it's true :)

Excellent!

I do have a question – what happened to the i-Daleks (as shown above in etotheipi's post) ?

I have HUNDREDS of them (thank you Dr Who Adventures Comic!), but they've been WRITTEN OUT of history.

Along with the rest of the modern tat, as far as I'm concerned.

They do stand out as a big bad idea, though, even if existing inside of an even bigger one.

What happened to them is what should have happened to the show 13 years ago.

"Just walk away.."

Will do Humungus.

OK.

Pulled myself together.

You could probably, easily, convert them to regular daleks.

Trim down bumper and cut it to be angular.

Trim ears outer disc and shorten the length. The eye could be shortened too.

Trim down the shoulder section, carving two bands as you go. Add putty or plasticard or card slats for later models.

You could fill the gaps between the skirt plates with putty to eliminate the gaps and create the angled corners.

The bumps may still look small, putty could be used, if you feel like it.

Here is a comparison photo.

I think I saw some of those on sale at a local "adult novelty" shop.
I was there doing research, yeah, that's it research.

I won't ask it's intended purpose.

Personal grooming?

Exfoliate! Exfoliate!

von Schwartz25 Jan 2019 8:29 p.m. PST

That's as good an excuse as any.
