Looks like fun, glad the good guys won.
Seydlitz must have seen something not to move.

Good guys my Aunt Mays goiter!!! The white horde got beaten, again. Really need to find some competent commanders.

Herky, are your rules available for purchase, or will you contribute to von Schwartz family charity? They look like fun rules and it doesn't look like I would need to rebase my 15s.

Cheers! My rules (the newest version)are free to download as are all my sets, from this site link

I hope you find them fun to use!

I'll check them out, thanks!

Herky, are your figures all from one manufacturer or are you doing a mix and match? Also, who are you using for your Austrian horse? They look pretty well proportioned, though it is a little hard to tell just from the game photographs.

I printed out a copy of your rules and will be reading them tonight, from my quick look I like, I think my basing for KK will be very compatible. The biggest difference is I have my line infantry based on 4 figure bases 2 across and 2 deep, frontages are real close for infantry and cavalry. Also, my Prussians, French, Allies, and Austrian Grenadiers are based in 12 figure battalions, except the Swiss. But if everyone is using the same basing and they are as close as they are, I don't see where it would make any discernible difference.

Correct von Schwartz. So long as the base sizes are consistent, the rules should work fine.
As to manufacturers, the Prussian horse and Austrian Kuirassiers are Essex 15mm, most everything else (Including the Reichs Cavalry) are Lancashire games.
The Austrian infantry on MDF bases are Frei Korps

Happy gaming!

Thank you again for your help. Now, I just need to find a US distributor for Essex and/or Lancashire figures. I used Essex for my 17th Century Poles many years ago, really nice figures, loved their Winged Hussars. However I have lost my US source since then. Also, since you use them with Freikorps, all my Prussian and Austrians are Freikorps, can I assume that they are all scale compatible?
PS Read your rules cover to cover last night, looking forward to trying them out. You really should market them, make a few bucks on the side.

Thanks von Schwartz, Frei Korps are a little smaller and prone to ankle breaks than the other manufacturers.
I default to Essex/OG15 cavalry (or Lancashire for poorly horsed units like Russians and Reichsarmee) and Lancashire/OG15 for Infantry.
You may find Old Glory 15's easier to source over the pond?

I will never charge for my rules, though. I always appreciate free things online myself so offer them freely too!

von Schwartz15 Jan 2019 7:56 p.m. PST

I looked them up and I can understand why you use Lancashire for Russian and Reichsarmee, they appeared to be a bit on the underfed side. Essex are nice as are Old Glory and I have found a USA source for both, but for the sake of consistency I will finish off my Austrians and any further additions to my Prussians will be Friekorps, plus Freikorps is the only one I have seen that has Austrian horse grenadiers. True though the horse is a bit wobbly at the ankles, I have used copious amounts of gel Super Glue to cure that little issue. Have you seen any Old Glory/Blue Moon figures? They look proportionally correct but are they true 15s or a little on the large side or on the small side? My Freikorps seem to me to be a little large but then my main point of reference for about 20 years has been Minifigs 15s. There is a noticeable scale discrepancy between the two.
