"Although the original Flash Gordon/Zarkov "hero" ship of the 1936 "Flash Gordon" serial was originally built for the 1930 musical sci-fi opus "Just Imagine," this intimidating enemy spacecraft had to be designed and built from scratch. Starting with the basic shape of the Zarkov rocket, the "Ming Bomber" featured a slightly raised cockpit, double-ogive tail skids, a nose cannon and, of course, those super-nifty V-6 exhaust pipes…."

Love the old Flash Gordon ships. I wish someone was making them in scale with 6, 15, or 28mm miniatures.

This is brilliant, but its 11 inches long! What size are the Hydra ones as a matter of interest – they look like c 1/2 – 3" or so
