So it's a good job Star Trek: Discovery is changing things up for season two.
The best parts of Discovery's first season saw the Federation thrust into a brutal war, causing its heroes to re-examine both the ideals Starfleet upholds—ideals we have loved and admired for over 50 years across various Trek series—and which of them they're willing to sacrifice in the face of a losing conflict. I would have loved to see a (well written) Star Trek show based on the original pilot with Pike and crew. Not sure how the introduction of Pike is going to work out on STD. Seems like another diversion. |

You know, once upon a time a USAF pilot tucked the wheels up on his jet just a little early and hit the runway moving. instead of conceding defeat, he gunned the engine, and the pictures I saw showed gravel from the intake all the way back. STD reminds me a little of that young gentleman. |

No longer care what they do. For me STD is a lot of things, but it's not real Star Trek. |
