Hi all,

I recently started a solo campaign set in a fictional province of Bolivia, using the Wars of Insurgency rules by Mike Demana. I've completed two games now, using 10mm infantry from Irregular Miniatures and a technical from MiniFigs. I'm using scenarios from Neil Thomas's One-Hour Wargames book.

These links have pictures, but you need to a free account with Wargaming Dropzone to view them. Sorry about that. The "Register" button is at the top right of the page.

Did you tweak or house rule anything? I found the rules to be rather light in places.

They are light, and I think that's intentional. It's how I like them. I also love the rich campaign rules, which is where WoI really shines.

And the secret activation order is excellent for solo play if you distribute enemy activations randomly. I haven't tweaked anything aside from that, and I'm finding my games to have just the right amount of complexity and dice rolling for my taste.

I'm a fan of the rules as well. Mike is also a great ambassador of the hobby.

No suppression.. and very much a "Convention Game" mindset turned me off to the combat rules.. but I will definitely use the campaign rules.

Bummer – Your links don't show pictures of the game.

Yes, sorry about that. Like I said in the first post, registry is free using the button at top right.

It's true, there are no suppression rules. Just morale and rally.
