General de Brigade, Deluxe Edition.

I'm currently playing a solo corps size battle, Austrian vs French, using GdB Deluxe.

GdB Deluxe is a great set of rules for solo Napoleonic war gaming.

God bless,
John T.

P.S. I did not start this thread. I just reacted to the thread's title already posted by someone else.

Would like to play GdA or GdB someday before I expire, I'm 43.

General de Brigade and In the Grand Manner, always prefer rules with more substance.

FOGN. Just refought Asterlitz with them. Using the V2 of the rules that is about to be released. Lots of fun.

Revolution and Empire, and the Empire series in general. Not simple to use- but I enjoy them.

None of the above it seems. And not BP either.

You painted the wrong colour buttons on your last battalion. What do your expect?

General de Brigade.. deluxe edition. Didn't know there were any other rules. Mostly solo. Difficult to find others here in Houston,

Empire III.

But that has more to do with living at a time and place where I had an actually gaming partner, as opposed to now when I am a soloist by necessity

Shako 2, slightly modified.
GdB is also great, but I prefer the larger scope of Shako when I game.

None of those options. Regimental Fire & Fury, Fist Full of TOWS 3, and Bolt Action 2 are the flavors of the past 2 years. Adding Black Powder 2 this year with a bit of SHAKO 2 mixed in.

Most Played:

Now – Shako 2

Then – WRG Napoleonics w/ club mods

All time – probably Airfix Bruce Quarrie, my wargaming starter rules (and the only rules we had for several years). Plastic French & British for Russians oh yes

GdA all the way !

1968billsfan11 Jan 2019 4:44 a.m. PST

GdB is my favorate set but our club likes Age of Eagles. I find that, because they don't own the rules and have only partially mastered how to play, the games limp along some. Some like Black Powder, and I'm tending towards this as a fun game with an easier learning curve.
