I'm curious haw many of these opinions on AoS are based on the first eight months of the game vs recent exposure.

I think the ongoing discussion reeks of amateurism. I am capable of overspending my means on both games at the same time. ;)

The first eight months will do that to a fantasy battles enthusiast. The damage has been done. "I am capable of overspending my means on both games at the same time." Mithmee: Your are correct about the crappy way Rune Wars was marketed. By far the best game system but you were stuck with their minis (pretty good excpt crappy humnans). I'm buying up the stuff now at need discount (75% off) to get the cards and bases and trying to figure out how to use existing figures (and maybe Song of Ice and Fire figures) with the system. Maybe some progressive minded company will pick and design a version for general play. TomT
