It's a terrain expansion for Heroscape, but will non-Heroscape gamers be attracted by the trees?

I'm not a Trekkie, but a certain episode about racism comes to mind upon seeing these similar but different cookies. ☺

jhancock08 Jan 2019 1:49 p.m. PST

Both look equally edible!

robert piepenbrink Supporting Member of TMP08 Jan 2019 2:03 p.m. PST

Not even those cookies could make that episode sweet. You young punks can't imagine the horror of watching Star Trek fall apart right in front of us in Third Season. The Star Wars Prequel Trilogy was nothing in comparison.

I'll only eat the ones with chocolate on the left. Would not even think about the chocolate on right ones.

Covert Walrus08 Jan 2019 4:42 p.m. PST

But JMcCarroll, it's chocolate . . . On the LEFT side!!!

JMcCarroll for the win.

You monotone cookies are all alike. First you condemn and then attack!

Thresher0108 Jan 2019 6:42 p.m. PST

Are you daft man?

They're clearly inedible!

Just look at all those white mold spores all over them.

von Schwartz08 Jan 2019 7:24 p.m. PST

It's CHOCOLATE!!!!! who gives a fevered rodents posterior which side it's on?!?

BTW Thresher01 it's OBVIOUSLY confectionary sugar.

Desert Fox08 Jan 2019 7:26 p.m. PST

on the left as you look at them or on the left of the figure?

Dammit JMcCarroll, I'm I doctor, not a chef!

I like Star Trek 3rd season, has some of my favorite episodes. grin The big difference is that the new producer didn't believe in 'comedy' episodes, so no 3rd season stories about Tribbles or Harry Mudd. frown

Dynaman878909 Jan 2019 4:13 a.m. PST

No Comedy in third season – then how do you account for Spock's Brain?

Old Wolfman09 Jan 2019 7:51 a.m. PST

That being said … I'd eat those … evil grin There is no inequality with/between Vanilla or Chocolate, IMO !!!

SpuriousMilius09 Jan 2019 9:22 a.m. PST

I'd rather have a gingerbread woman with lime icing all over.

So… post a random picture with a meaningless Subject and span an interesting discussion of Star Trek. Love the internet! I may try this one day.

But someone needs to learn to sprinkle powdered sugar better.

robert piepenbrink Supporting Member of TMP09 Jan 2019 4:44 p.m. PST

The big differences with 3rd Season are two:
1. The new producer (Fred Freiberger) didn't believe in science fiction. Take a look at the story credits for Seasons 1 and 2--real published SF writers. Never again.
2. Freiberger also didn't believe in Goldwyn's Law. ("If you want to send a message, use Western Union.") Every episode, the universe was reconfigured to make the liberal point du jour true. Sadly, this only applied to the fictional universe, so the stories became steadily less pertinent to the real one. Driving home political points with a sledgehammer doesn't improve anyone's fiction.

von Schwartz09 Jan 2019 7:26 p.m. PST

Norman, this is Harry Mudd, I am lying!

BTW: SpuriousMilious, you must have a very…interesting sex life.

Syrinx009 Jan 2019 7:38 p.m. PST

They cut the budget for season 3 as much as they could – solid writers were among the casualties. Roddenberry was not getting along well with his bosses at the time per his own recollections and let too much go. Fred was not at all subtle.

The cookies look tasty though.

Bashytubits09 Jan 2019 11:55 p.m. PST

Well they used to look like this,

Until the sushi line got out of hand and etotheipi's Kaiju
stepped on them….

Which then led to this…(insert giant stompy sounds, screams and squishy noises) Those Japanese schoolgirls obviously spilled powdered sugar while making their escape.

Which then led to

Which brings us full circle, yes the internet is a marvelous thing.

Covert Walrus18 Jan 2019 6:22 p.m. PST
