Try searching for the Schleswig Wars Yahoo group, this info is most likely to be found there.

There is a scenario for the battle of Isted from the 1st SHW in the files of the BBB Yahoo group:

From it you can work out strengths for all the brigades involved in the battle.

Hope this helps!

Hello.

In the Danish army each infantry battalion had four companies each with 200 men (from 1849 the company had 250 men)
Each cavalry regiment had 4 squardrons each of 140 men.
As for artillery, 6pdr was the most common. (the army had 24pdr and 12pdr as well)

The Schleswig-Holstein Army was organized as the Danish army.

cheers

Forgot about the colour of the artillery:
Danish Artillery: the Woodwork was dark green; Fittings and barrels: black

again the Sleswig-Holsteins followed the Danish system

Feel free to ask, if you need more precise information regarding the war -I'll try to help the best I can. I have several battlemaps and OOB's for the war.
I game the war in 10mm with the company as the main tactical unit and have made scenarios for the flanking attack at Kolding (1849) and the fight at Gudsø (27.may 1849).

Hej Søren – hvornår kommer du i klubben og viser det frem, lyder fedt!!!

SFrost10 Jan 2019 7:39 a.m. PST

Hej Nico, det ville jeg rigtigt gerne, men jeg kan bare ikke finde tiden til at komme ned i klubben om onsdagene. Men en eller anden dag står jeg der nok:-)

Glæder mig til det :-)

@SFrost: Wow, that's quite the detail level! 1 base = 1 company, or player in charge of a company?

And do you have any pictures?

SFrost12 Jan 2019 4:16 a.m. PST

@Lion: Company level, as in: 1 company is made up of 6 bases, the battalion of 4 companies. A game typically has 2-4 battalions per side

To the left, two Danish companies are advancing in Company column formation, each company with the third line deployed as skirmishers in front of the company column. Too the right there is a Jager company deployed in open order formation (in the background the SH rebels<br /> can be seen
