The long wait is over, and I have pleasure in announcing that THE PORTABLE NAPOLEONIC WARGAME book of rules has now been published.

The hardback is on sale for £17.99 GBP here ( link ), the paperback is on sale for £7.99 GBP here ( link ), and the PDF is on sale for £3.99 GBP here ( link ).

I hope to publish an eBook edition once Lulu.com can sort out the problems with the software that converts Word Docx into ePub format, but in the meantime I understand that the PDF can be downloaded and read on most tablets and on some eBook readers.

Thank you Bob!! My order is in!

Cheers

I would like to buy a printed copy, but I am not sure how lulu works. Do they print it and send it to me?

Munster05 Jan 2019 10:33 p.m. PST

79thPA, yep, you order it in whatever format from the allowed selection, and they'll print and post it to you

Just ordered mine, also, Bob. I hve several of your offerings and am very pleased with all of them! Glad this set uses hex based tables as I now can break out my Hexxon II sets!

Tried to buy it twice now but lulu just says processing and the whirly gig goes round and round …

Everything is filled in and no error message.

Teppsta,

Lulu can sometimes do silly things like this. If you contact them, they can usually sort problems out quite quickly.

Dye4minis,

Many thanks for buying my stuff. I hope that you enjoy using the rules as much as I did writing and play-testing them.

Just ordered. Looking forward to it.

I get the same problem as Teppsta

Tried to buy it twice now but lulu just says processing and the whirly gig goes round and round …

Everything is filled in and no error message.

Doesn't inspire confidence in Lulu.

JimDuncanUK07 Jan 2019 9:30 a.m. PST

Seems like Lulu have website problems. Their contact page goes nowhere.

JimDuncanUK07 Jan 2019 10:28 a.m. PST

All my problems with Lulu so far have been with a Windows 7 / Internet Explorer system.

I managed to place a successful order using my Kindle Fire and downloaded the PDF. This left the PDF isolated from my printer which is attached to my Windows 7 system.

I have a Windows 10/Microsoft edge system in my wargames hut and I was able to successfully download the PDF to it.

It will be a simple task to transfer the PDF to my Windows 7 system using a USB stick.

What a carry on.

Mr Cordery,

This is the frist time I have heaard of your work. What is the scale and how does the system play?

Thanks
Lord Ghee.

Bob the Temple Builder07 Jan 2019 3:27 p.m. PST

Lord Ghee,

That question would require a very, very long answer. May I suggest that the best way for you to find out more would be to pay a visit to my blog – Wargaming Miscellany ( link ) – and follow the links in the sidebar. This tells the complete story of the Portable Wargame concept.

Alternately, you could look at the PW website here = link .

Still not working

JimDuncanUK07 Jan 2019 4:05 p.m. PST

@Teppsta

What sort of system are you using?

Bob the Temple Builder08 Jan 2019 6:31 a.m. PST

Teppsta,

If this problem persists, let me know and I'll contact Lulu to find out what the solution might be.

Fried Flintstone10 Jan 2019 4:54 p.m. PST

Had one more try and still not working 😥

I'm using an iPad – so it is mobile Safari browser.

Everything is fine till the last press then it just gets stuck saying processing
