If you are trying to get a group of people interested where would you send them? Something that would show different rules and figure manufacturers |

For rules and how they play,it's hard to beat Shaun's blog. link He's re-fought the same couple of battles using just about every Ancient rule book available. |

For rule set descriptions and reviews, I would recommend BoardGameGeek.com. Here are some of the most popular Ancients rule sets not included on either Tim's (madaxeman) or Shaun's sites: Commands & Colors: Ancients (link) Hail Caesar (link) Mortem et Gloriam (link) Swordpoint (link) Sword & Spear (link) To the Strongest! I guess it also depends how much experience with gaming they have, their age(s) and their interest levels. |

I would actually point them to the Ancients forums in TMP. That would give them an idea about ancient wargaming. @kodiakblair – thanks for the shout out. I do still have a list of 20-30 rulesets I would like to try. 2020 seems to be shaping up as the year to get back into playing with some of them (alas not 2019). |
