Is there one this year? I keep seeing the ad for the 2011 February convention in the front page banners, but surely this ad is not correct. Is someone still paying for an almost 8 years out of date ad?

Of course there will be a "Williamsburg Muster" this year! It's scheduled February 15 – 17, 2019, at the Clarion Inn (former Holiday Inn) and everyone is going to be there!

Hope to see you there!!

Considering attending myself, it's a nice con!

Cool. Thank you for the update.

I'm going. Great con. Also the Mariners Museum is close and only a dollar to get in.

Did I miss an announcement or something? What's the venue?

The updated Williamsburg Muster convention website is here:

I've got my hotel reservations all set. Now I just have to register for the con and figure out what my son and I will be running. Lots of kid-friendly games suitable for grown-ups, too. Definitely the obligatory Panzer Kids free-for-all, but maybe a Pearl Harbor game using stripped down Wings of Glory rules and possibly a Dragon Rampant game with Rohirrim against orcs.

The Williamsburg cons are always friendly, relaxed affairs with plenty of interesting games, a nice selection of dealers, and a weekend of fun with friends old and new.

pzivh43,

Please note my post above for location! As well as the above link in Griffon86 post! Hope you can be there, as we're gonna have us some real fun!

The Williamsburg Muster will also have a Blood and Plunder tournament this year on the Saturday of the convention.

Plunder provided by Cotton Jim, Firelock Games, and Phalanx Consortium. Blood not provided.

9th Age tournament, Bolt Action tournament, and possibly a FOW tournament as well.

Williamsburg in quite a hike from the Washington, DC area. Think I'll try SCRUM CON out that weekend. Fun looking line up of games… link

Freely admitting that I am internet Road Kill, I looked, but I couldn't find any events list for Scrum.

Scrum seems to have an interesting slate of events, but I'm pretty much set on going to The Muster. The Muster isn't a big con, but I like the vibe. I like the venue. I like the crew. I like the drive, and the on-site restaurant makes a mean steak. Better than the Outback 2 doors down. I had it back to back both nights last October.

Suffice to say, I am on the fence about a 2 hour drive to Fall In, but I'm all in even tho it's a 5 hour drive to Wm'burg from Baltimore.

Really looking forward to the Muster this time around.
This will be the first time I bring my 10-yo daughter. She loves gaming, and we're going to bring my old Battlemasters set to run as an open game. If I see a lull when there are kids wandering around looking for a game, I'll break it out and get them playing. She will be able to run it after a couple of turns, with me looking over her shoulder.

I'm hoping Danny Jackson will be there with his fantasy version of Wings of War; I saw him running it a couple of cons ago and it looks like the kids loved it.

FYI, I believe that HMGS (East) passed along a reminder for The Muster to all on the HMGS mailing list.

Well done, HMGS.

Enjoy the games.
