Ironic that hovercraft didn't make the grade given how limited their use is compared to the proliferation in SF games. |

A hovercraft is still more useful than big mecha. Even if hovercraft only have limited utility, they still do have SOME utility! |

I'd say carrying a sword or other close combat weapon into futuristic battle. When it's clear ranged weapons are so much better ! Add tall walking targets to that list too ! As I said on another thread : I always loved that scene in the Tom Cruise WotW movie. When the patrol from the 10th MTN Div start taking out the Martian Walkers with man packed AT weapons, Javelins, IIRC !!! Shows why things like Mechs and Titans are just Big Targets !!! And I frequently mention that !
