Another go at a Book of Battles scenario which turned out to be reasonably balanced and involved historical forces to boot; Rus and Byzantines. blackshawgaming.wordpress.com/2019/01/01/saga-rus-vs-last-romans Note that Saga is not strictly historical. Many of the Rus powers come from the bad weather traditional in Russia although the Rus get to bring the bad weather with them wherever they go.
