Thank you! I didn't really promote the Visual Antietam series here on TMP. I hope you enjoy it when it arrives. Volume 2 will be out in late Feb or early March. |

Just bought the Antietam Wargame Maps. Perfect timing, we just started the Antietam Campaign. I hope they work with 15mm Regimental. |

So I unknowingly purchased a PDF version of Antietam Wargame Maps. Lucky I downloaded it by accident, otherwise I would have been waiting for my book to arrive! Some warning would have been nice. I like the maps. They are not those confusing 3D maps which some others have put out. I find those so cluttered I can't tell what is going on. What is missing is a grid over the map. A grid with one foot boxes allows me to lay the terrain on table using a tape measure. A grid also tells me what size table I need. I will have to find a clear grid with one to lay over the map. For me without a grid, the maps are almost useless. Makes my job that much harder. Also missing are the historical deployments. There are symbols on the map key which represents infantry, cavalry and artillery but they are not on the maps. There are some numbers on the maps have the numbers 1 and 2 in various places. Can't find what they are suppose to represent. Maybe I am missing something. Does anyone see what I am missing here? Maybe I am suppose to copy the symbols and past them were I need them? I can't find where it says. That may explain the PDF version. |

The Wargame Map series are not scenario books. They are an aid to help gamers design their own scenarios. They present multiple maps in several different scales including 1 inch = 50 yds, 1 inch = 25 yds, and 1 inch = 33 yards. There is an order of battle included so you can place the units where you want. If you want a book with pre-designed Antietam scenarios, you need Brave Hearts Trembled. link |
