While the majority of the games released in the 40k verse take place in and around 40k, several somewhat successful expansions have been made into 30k (Space Marine, Epic, Titanicus/ Adeptus Titanicus, & the Hours Heresy, etc…). If GW decides to expand outside of the 30k/40k limits, where/when would you like to see them go next? 1) The Age of Terra & Technology (M1-25) 2) The Age of Strife (M25-30) 3) The Scouring (M31) 4) The Ages of Xenos & The Forging (M32-M34) 5) Nova Terra Interregnum, the 2nd Civil War (M35-36) 6) The Ages of Apostasy & Redemption (M36-41) 7) 40k but the Emperor returns. 8) 40k but the Emperor dies and the Empire falls. 9) 40k but concentrate on new Xenos races. 10) Cursed 21st Founding 11) Other (*fill in the blank). I think I'd most enjoy getting new Xenos races. Thanks for playing. |

Get 6mm Epic Armageddon up and rolling again. Some new alien races for EA would be nice too.😄 |

The return of the Squats… and how they interact with the Imperium since their betrayal. |

I've actually used the Sabbat Crusade as a setting for a while, but would prefer an "official supplement" for the Macharian Crusade. The pseudo-Alexandrian nature of the Lord Solar always was really fun. Maybe thrown in an Anabasis based on a Rogue Trader? |

11 a non-setting where one need not buy codexes or literal figures. |

I've considered a setting in the golden age or age of strife with a space marine chapter dumped in the earlier time through a failed warp jump. |

I'm with Aethelflaeda on this one – Warhammer Sci-Fi a pure rules-set and miniatures not predicated on the 40k fluff. While there would certainly be crossover of models, the rules should bemore readily adaptable to most Sci-Fi settings, and not include as much magic. |

There has been speculation about a "Warhammer Fantasy" happening to 40k. Timeline moves up, everything is destroyed, then a age of sigmar style reboot |

Fortunately sites like Tactical Command and a number of FB pages, etc. keep Epic/6mm Sci-fi alive. That and there are a lot of companies that make good/great 6mm Sci-fi today. I started with Epic in '89. And have been doing that along with other 6mm Sci-fi since. But what I have learned, don't let GW's business models, etc., stop or interrupt your 6mm Sci-fi predilections. If so you will only be disappointed. They literally are "Not the only game in town." At least in my universe(s). |

5 and 6 for me. I love the timeline when Squats are still a thing and I like the civil war and xenos strife of the Nova Terra Interregnum because there's much less focus on chaos. |

You can literally use the ruleset for any setting you want. I played an X-Men vs. Brood game with 40K one time. I would like to see them do the Wars where Abaddon tracks down all the Horus clones that Fabius Bile made in the various different legions and destroys them with the Black Legion.

One of the major reasons 40K is so successful is they can do pretty much anything they want to and have it 'fit'. Players can create their own 'imagining'. I'd say it was genius but I know that they just picked 40,000 because is sounded cool. I imagine Dune fitting into the 40K timeline, I'd like to see that period, where navigators show up in the genetics. |

Well, they have ripped off every other great sci-fi franchise. |
Legion 4 | 01 Jan 2019 9:00 a.m. PST |
One could say that without too much doubt. That being said, I use a lot of GW Epic figures and their very much modified rules. As well as Hammer's Slammers, and a whole bunch of other manufacturers' of 6mm Sci-fi models/figures. It is a very big galaxy … yes ? And I have more aliens then just the GW ones. Of various "types"/pedigrees … Cats, dogs, rats, reptiles, primates, etc., etc. I've never gamed it … yet. But my 6mm Hammer's Slammers TF going toe-to-toe vs. any of the GW Epic forces. My money would be on the Slammers generally. But they would take some losses, I'd think in most battles/match ups.

#1 Go back to the Rogue Trader roots of SMALL skirmish battles with more personality driven miniatures, aliens and scenic items. or something radical… #2 Dump 40K all together and go VSF Space 1889. They could get really creative and do something new… In the mean time I hope they release all the Necromunda gangs from the Outlanders supplement in 2019 |
Uesugi Kenshin | 01 Jan 2019 3:40 p.m. PST |
Dragon, there's a good chance of you're #1 due to the success of Kill Team. I could see them expanding Kill Team into 30k this year. I have always wanted a small scale game that focused on 2-3 tanks or Dreadnoughts fighting against eachother. Maybe 1-2 heavy weapon teams but a game focusing very much on small numbers of heavies (ie tank combat). |

#9. New alien race suggestions: Space Skaven and Space Slaan (lizardmen). Squats are "meh." |
billthecat | 02 Jan 2019 8:34 p.m. PST |
Better rules. Better Writing. Better prices. Seriously, though… I think GW and the table-top gaming world would benefit from GW trying some of their new (and much welcome) approaches using a totally new setting! I love the original concepts of the '40K' universe, but it really is dragging on a bit now… |

11) Unification Wars. With the exception of the Thunder Warriors, tons of new and unique factions could be introduced and detailed – right before they're all exterminated by the former. Though, realistically, I'd settle for a couple new xenos factions and a moratorium on new models/rules/factions for the Imperium. |
alpha3six | 03 Jan 2019 9:38 p.m. PST |
30k needs an 8th ed Killteam expansion as much as someone with a stomach ache needs trepanning- it already has full skirmish rules in the form of Tactical Strike, and small intense actions in Zone Mortalis. Tactical Strike even has first edition style suppression rules. |
Uesugi Kenshin | 04 Jan 2019 10:06 a.m. PST |
Very true Alpha, though I think a 30k Kill Team expansion book and or boxed set would open up 30k to a whole new group of gamers that otherwise would shun 30k. Also, by releasing 1 supplemental book you would add 18 new Kill Teams to the mix. But hey, I'm all for anything that expands the 30k horizons as its my favorite part of the 40k verse. 30k aside, I hope Kill team DOES add rules for daemons this year. I'd be in for 2, maybe 3 of those factions. |
