Years ago, I cam across a series of simple cardstock bound uniform books. They had them for most major and many minor nations including one for the Army of Joseph Napoleon in Spain. Of great interest, each book had a small section on the horse colors of the nation, the colors of the artillery carriages and the poles used to carry flags (the color they were painted). Simple covers and looked to be produced on a home printer. Does anyone know the series I am discussing? |

Perhaps they were these by W J Rawkins? link |

It was similar to Rawkins but something else. 8.5 x 11 with a slide on binding that could be taken off to leave loose pages. |

Are they the uniform guides from 19th Century Mintiares? |

I believe you are referring to the books produced by OldGlory 15s/ 19th CenturyMiniatures.authored by Stephen Thomas. They followed the content you described. I use mine frequently. While I no longer see them listed on their website, they used to list them for sale. I sent a note to them. You may wish to follow up with them. |
