"Having only seen the prequels, I didn't really get Star Wars—so in order to increase my Star Wars I.Q., I finally watched the original trilogy, starting with Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. I was fascinated. I didn't hate it. I… I actually liked it. I won't say I loved it, but that's not the fault of the movie itself….."

Ha ha ha ha.

I'm crying now.

Yes, let's start watching the "original" trilogy with "Episode 4: A new hope"!

Yes, this is a review by a confirmed new comer. I can't be to mean, Ep 4 is all you can get in stores, and as the full special edition (number 3244???) not just the 80s name change, pity.

He (?) did mention the starkly different modern cgi. He is in the ball there.

Poor chap, starting with the prequels. It shows a lot of strength trawling through that lot and still asking for more. Then, accidentally getting more by watching the special editions, whoops.

I feel sorry for those with no access to the originals. Look out for the 2 disc 2006 DVDs. The originals are on the second discs.

The original Trilogy – even with the warts in Return of the Jedi – is still, by far, the best of Star Wars.

And yes, the original versions – sans CGI – are better than the "updated" versions.

I agree with both StarCruiser and The H Man.
