It has been some time since we had used the Napoleonic variant so I ran a few games to refresh my memory of the rules. The tests involved two division with the Spanish reflecting a diversity of troop quality unlike the French who were trained.

The first two tests produced games resembling early linear tactics than a Nopoleonic battle, but with minor changes to the deployment requirements the battle developed into a gritty combat.
