Does anyone else look on places like ebay and think.. What is that guy smoking to think they can get that much for that. There's a seller I see on there.. They sell quite possibly the oldest figures I've ever known for such an expensive price I can't belive they haven't learned from it. The painting is shocking on em yet here they are month in month out with a ridiculous price on. I like me bargains like the next person.. But seeing stuff like that filling up valuable space is quite annoying for me.. 😂 |

Totally agree Fred. I've bought and sold a lot of wargames stuff on eBay and usually have been very pleased with results and process. You get to know the going rate for stuff quite quickly so l never understand the type you describe. Ok chance a high price first listing but then be realistic. Currently there are a couple of sellers endlessly resisting in eras I'm interested in. When will they figure out "it's way overpriced and will never sell" . Most of the professional sellers also do this. Eventually a seller will be found but like houses it has to be at the right price constantly expecting the highest price despite evidence is a form of madness. |

For me, I run two sales a year – spring and fall. It's a lot of work getting the posting ready. I run for 10 days and repost at a reduced rate (usually about 25% off each time). I have had posting sell on the third try at higher than the original posting price! |

I know hits hit and miss for people… But honestly.. There's one seller that comes to my mind who buys and sells… His posts are older than the figures themselves.. Either he takes really bad photos or the paint jobs are terrible… And he prices stuff up way higher than what I could get the modern equivalent.. |
