Missed the part where "Black Day" is defined. I could easily say it was the day I inducted. The defeat on the Wabash 1791 by Little Turtle springs to mind. I would agree with My Lai since that was my war and my generation. H |

My vote would be for the Battle of Savo Island. Three heavy cruisers sunk and the 1st MARDIV ashore and cut off on Guadalcanal. Not a happy day for the US. |
