These are the ubiquitous Japanese small craft. Are there any in Cruel Seas? If not what do you suggest to use in place of them?

Agreed these were often the craft the PT boats encountered around the 'canal. Surprised Warlord went with sampams instead of these.
WM, didn't find Tamiya's. Do you have a link?
Tony, that model looks nice. In my reading most had a MG for self defense. I don't see one. Does it have one?

Thanks

Joe

Joe,

No, unfortunately, the model does not come with any weapons.

I presume Warlord is not done making models yet and would expect more if the game gets any traction.

I might have been interested in this game if had been done in 1/350 to match a standard plastic model scale, or ditto that at 1/700 and plenty more room to maneuver.

Ahoy!

Fear not – we have loads of new vessels coming through in the next few weeks for Cruel Seas including the aforementioned Daihatsu landing craft for the glorious Imperial Japanese Navy.

Here's a quick preview of our craft replete with the Emperor's brave troops ready to disgorge and drive the hated American and British invaders out of Japanese territory.

Keep a weather eye on the horizon – there will be reinforcements on the way soon…

Cheers,

Mini,
I suspect mixing 1/300 and 1/350 scale will look fine on the tabletop. I have done it with 1/600 and 1/700 and it looks okay to my eye at least.
Greg,
those models looks nice and I like the price as well. Thanks for the tip.
Paul,
Glad to see you are going to be adding them. Will you have some with cargo instead of troops? Also, curious why you all went with sampans initially? Nothing wrong with it just curious.

Thanks all.

Joe
