Guys, I've finished painting up four German S-38 models for Cruel Seas, and here's a scene expected from some night action in the future –
The models were fairly straightforward to assemble and paint. I did add flags on staffs to them, that were taken from the metal bits bags contained with some of my larger Cruel Seas models for custom attachment. The assembly video linked here on TMP was helpful, especially concerning the assembly of the 37mm gun and what the printed assembly instructions call the M42 crew piece (btw, crappy-looking "crew" I might add – these plastic pieces look as if they're the gun's empty seats, but what the hey). TMP link Will start the Vospers asap! |

Great job! Mine are far down on a long list of unpainted stuff. Does anyone know how well GHQ 1/285th artillery crews would scale with these 1/300 scale ships? |

TY Gentlemen! Eric, I've not played yet, but have a friend who has, and he says he had a blast just like you. I've got a game scheduled for a couple weeks away now, and so trying to get the stuff painted by then. |

MJ, I think some of the Cruel Seas crew figures size up ok with GHQ minis – like the standing officers. However, the molded one-piece guns/crews seem noticeably smaller (2nd photo).
Molded gun crews are smaller (these shown from the Vorposten Boot model) -

GHQ's figs are 1/220th scale, or thereabout, so much larger than 1/300th. H&R seem to have true, 1/300th figs. |
