So Gibs and his co-workers are laying in ambush in a California forests pretending it's a Virginia forest. Bad guy has a RPG and .50 desert eagle (not a very tactical weapon for a former Green Beret) You'd think when hiding in a forest. The NCIS people would use some sort of long arms. Even a shotgun or MP5 would drastically increase range and hitting power. But no, their P228 DAO seem to be the perfect weapon for all engagements. Kinda like hand phasors from Star Trek. I haven't seen them try and cut open any metal doors with their SIGs but I'm guessing it will happen later. |

Available only when Gibbs needs to make a critical long range shot. |

In support of Major Mike: Gibbs once used a Henry; he shot down a helicopter. I think LA used them, don't know about NO. |

NCIS Los Angeles has Hettie Ninja and on call tactical nukes! NCIS New Orleans has the power to summon "Roll Tide" NCIS has Gibbs Who would win in a three way cage match. |

NCIS as entertaining as all the series are … they do some stuff the CIA, Spec Ops, etc., would do. Not NAVY Cops … |

I always laughed at CSI:NY when a forensic scientist with a 9mm was leading the SWAT tactical team with body armor and M4 or MP5 through the sewers or an empty building! "Hey, let's let the science nerd go first, despite our training, experience, and weaponry." |

Reading the script tends to make light weapons as precisely effective as you need. They also carry exactly the correct number of rounds regardless of logistics. And films also prove that armour attracts wounds similar to red shirts. |

Waco Joe: That sounds like a battle waiting to happen. The 3 teams meet in Denver for a convention, harsh words slip out during the after-hours meet & greet at the bar. The ensuing shootout through out the hotel leads to dozens of wounded patrons (aka: extras) and the heroes of each series going their own separate ways without a scratch and a few stern looks of disapproval (cue dramatic music and another spin-off series). |

It's a TV show, not a documentary. |

The LA and DC teams each have had female snipers as team members in episodes (Ziva and Kelsie). |

And DiNozzo still gets one upside his head. |

Gibbs and co. don't seem to pack heavy artillery in their cars, unlike the LA team, who have submachineguns and vests. Gibbs was a Marine sniper, and has used long-range shots on occasion. |

Right ! I'd forgotten that episode where Gibbs took out the Kaff-Pow addicted terrorist leader who was holding DiNozzo, Ziva and McGee prisoner. |
