Hello everyone,

In your opinion what 25/30 mm figures of what manufactures represent movie characters usable to play in a historical wargame on the WWII period ?

I presume you mean ordinary figures not those specifically designed to represent movie/TV characters like Foundry and Warlord Dad's Army, Warlord Kelly's Heroes, 1st Corps and Empress Cross of Iron, Company B Rat Patrol etc.
Artizan's Thrilling Tales, Copplestone's various adventurers and villains and Crooked Dice 7TV ranges are full of thinly disguised movie characters.

Yes, yes the figurines specifically designed to represent movie and /or TV characters even if it is about historical characters.

But they must be usable in a historical wargame…

In theory you could use any of them in historical Wargames. No reason why you can't use Dad's Army as ordinary Home Guard in a historical scenario or Kelly's Heroes as regular GI's. If you want actual historical figures then Stoessi's Heroes have a good selection of historical characters, that also feature in movies like The Longest Day and A Bridge too Far. BTD has a range of WW2 leaders and generals. Hard to see how they could be used in a historical scenario unless you want to recreate Operation Valkyrie on the table top, don't think it would be a very fun game though. I thought initially you could use Rommel in a kill Rommel commando raid, but of course he wasn't there when the commandos struck, so no use for a Rommel figure for that game.

Here it is, using figurines representing actors in the role of a historical character, but for fun we must recognize the actor in this or that film.
