It's been nearly a full year since the Langton's updated their site.

Anyone know if they are okay?

I know Rod's not exactly a "spring chicken" but, I hope they are doing well, especially at this time of year.

Hmm, I ordered twice from them this past summer and was very pleased with their service and product.

About two years ago I heard a rumor of a rumor he was working on a new line of ships. I have always hoped we would wake up one day to an announcement of a whole line of 1/1200 galleons.

A "Armada" era line makes sense – since they already have some ships that would mix well with that…

I agree a Langton Armada series would be really nice, but until Rod gets around to that, I find the Valiant Spanish Main ships to be very compatible with Langton Renaissance ships. A few of Langton's own ADW range will also fit into previous periods.

I would actually prefer Langton galleon-era vessels in 1/600 scale. He makes nice stuff, and that period needs some nice nice stuff in a scale that's large enough to hold onto. Typical 16th C. vessels tended to be small, and many are just tiny on the table in 1/1200 scale.

I just discovered Langton ships this last year, and I love the miniatures!
So I hope they will be around for awhile yet so I can grow my collection.

I talk to Carol at least every two weeks as I restock. They are ok.

StarCruiser19 Dec 2018 8:51 a.m. PST

That's what I was concerned about! Thanks!

Does anyone in the UK stock the Valiant range?

StarCruiser12 Jul 2020 2:38 p.m. PST

Well – here we go again…

The Langton website hasn't been updated in nearly 1 1/2 years now.

Last time I tried to order anything from Brookhurst, they seemed to have little stock. Waterloo is closed (for now).

Any word?

I just spoke with Carol today. She and Rod are fine. They are in the same boat as everyone else with the current world situation. WM has been down while we struggle here in Michigan with shut downs, restrictions, etc.

Okay – cool. I was hoping it was just "the state of the world" and not something … else.

Apparently the big issue is poor broadband – it's stopping them designing new stuff!

And…if you'd like to check out store.waterloogames.com you'll find the Langton line is alive and kicking! I bought the US sales back from Jeff (after handing it off to him a few years back) and I've been steadily adding it to my web store today. I've got most of the Napoleonic line up, and the rest will be on there by the end of the weekend…I hope! Even so, I've got the product if you'd like to order anything. I'm really looking forward to handling the line again, and to dealing with Rod and Carol…truly wonderful folks!

Well – that's the price of living in a nice, quiet village!
