There are lots of carts and wagons available in 28mm suitable for the Napoleonic Wars from various manufacturers. However, apart from a couple of wagons from the Perrys, there seem to be few that are covered items. Does anyone know of a source of covered wagons, preferably 4 wheeled, suitable for Europe 1790 – 1820?

Was hoping for 15's. Vehicles are on my wish for list.

for 15/18mm check Old Glory Blue Moon line. They have 14 different items. The original Old Glory 15mm produced by Old Glory 15s/19th Century Miniatures make a couple of covered wagons in their Napoleonic line, along with caissons and ambulances.

Warbases looks worth an investigation. Do they paint well?

I've never had a problem painting a Warbases product be it MDF, resin or metal.

That is excellent Jim. Any pointers on technique?

I have the Blue Moon engineer wagons eyed up.

Nothing special required, any competent wargames painter will manage these.

Just make sure everything fits before glueing and paint the wheels separately from the wagon body.

Do your best paint job on the horses.

Thanks again. I look forward to giving them a try.

Black Hussar has some very nice covered wagons. You may have to search through the various listings under the Napoleonic section. If you do not speak German, click on the language icon and English is an option.

Thanks Condotta. I already have quite a few of Black Hussar's excellent vehicles (and by extension those from Schilling Figuren). I think they are all by the same sculptor who does wagons and guns for the Perrys. While excellent, I am really after a more generic covered wagon rather than a specific military vehicle.

Does anyone have a picture of any of the Warbases Baggage Wagons (#1, 2 or 3) from the rear view? Looking to see where and how the ladder/ramp attaches.

These were very easy to assemble!
