Received my first order of a 15mm WW2 Panzergrenadier platoon from Resistant Roosters last week and very happy with them too.

What pops through the post today? A package all the way from the States which contained my Exclusive Berlin Defender figure (for newsletter subscribers).

He's already destined to become a 'Big Man' in my I AIN'T BEEN SHOT MUM games.

Mark Severin's note says that they didn't want to hold up my order waiting for more of these Exclusive Figs to be cast.

What can I say? Outstanding service, above and beyond.

Cheers
Mark

Great figs. Got mine over the weekend and I was impressed.

How do the Resistant Roosters figures compare in size to Old Glory and Battlefront?

I just wanted to add that I painted some figures over the weekend using the free German Pea Dot Camo painting tutorial on the Resistant Roosters website, and they turned out superb!

I got my samples last week and I'd say they're bigger than OG, and smaller than Battlefront but very close. Very easily mixed with BF.

Overall casting wise, I think they're quite a bit better than Old Glory (which isn't difficult to achieve) but not quite up to Battlefront. The difference lies mainly in the equipment which are not as cleanly sculpted as Battlefront's.

Hi

The R.R. figs match the older standard LW Germans from B.F. but are smaller in bulk than the newer B.F. LW Assault Rifle Platoon.

I don't do Old Glory, but the R.R, figs are taller than my Pig figs. Though I don't have any of the newer LW Pig Germans yet to compare them with.

All in all the differences are minimal.

The Resistant Roosters figs (I got my two freebies last week too) are pretty close to 18mm. For me, they're perfect – not cartoony, not too bulky, excellent detail and exactly the scale I need. I hope the US troops will be the same size – if for no other reason than I don't need Aryan supermen grin

Good match with BF.
