Hello All,

Over the last two months I have been scratch building a fort for my now completed Norman Army. To give proper credit I was totally inspired by the work of Millsy, which I found on this blog post.

I am very happy with the results. I did learn lot about crafting through this project. Please enjoy the pictures.

The fort was built rapidly in 1067 to subdue the local Anglo-Saxon population. It stands guard over the local village.

Very nice but I think I'd go for some side protection for the guys in the gatehouse as both versions leave them a little exposed from the flank.

Looks really good, but what are the large, white areas on the Keep?

Looks great. I agree with BillyNM's comment.

Thank you all,

The white areas are stucco/plastered walls. I saw a similar thing on the terrain from Grand manner.

I will have to create some pavises to cover the sides of the front battlement.
