So it seems Flickr is serious about limiting free accounts to 1,000 photos. I feel the price for Pro is ridiculous. But what I really don't like is giving Flickr or anyone else permission to access my financial accounts. That is the deal breaker for me.

So besides Photobucket what are some of the alternatives?

Postimage.org does the job for me.

You can boat quite a lot of photos on a blog for free….

Dont go Photobucket, they are also now a paid platform. They made a change that if you end linking to a certain number of your photos, thier system blocks all your image links unless you pay. So I had been using them for my game blog for years, and then every photo was basically wiped.

I use Flickr and my own web site.

Photos upload automatically to Flickr and then I cull them and save the ones I like to our own web server.

The 1,000 limit just means I'll need to stay on top of doing my cull every month.

Postimage.org is interesting. Is there a limit to how many photos you can post? Do you have to be a member to view someones photos? I prefer to have open access to anyone I send a link to without having to join first.

If there is a limit to Postimage I haven't reached it yet, and no membership is required. I've been using it since Photobucket went commercial.

I need to find a service very soon, it will be % 95 purposes here, so paying isn't with that and reaching a limit won't happen.
