In America, people seem to strongly favor one or the other. Which do you, the miniatures enthusiast, prefer? Both camps seem fine with the Simpsons so let's leave that aside. |

None of them, South Park, Family Guy or Simpsons. |

I'm with ZP here. All are in appallingly poor taste. |

Family Guy. Though it is borderline vapid. South Park is what I imagine Juveniles trying to sound "Mature" would write. |

I did like Family Guy, but I'm pretty done with it now. |

South Park. I think sometimes people only see the grossness & profanity and miss out on what can be pretty wicked and to the point satire. In comparison I find Family Guys pedestrian outrages are not all that insightful. |

South Park. Right-on-the-nose satire and they don't seem to be afraid of anything. I once ran a game with some police and terrorists. One of the first things that happened in the game was that a terrorist attacked a squad of 4 policemen, killing one instantly. "They killed Kenny!", shouted my players. "The bastards!" So when I wrote up the AAR, I gave the cops on that squad the names of the South Park foursome: Sgt. Eric Cartman, Cpl. Stan Marsh, Patrolman Kyle Broflovksi, and Patrolman Kenny McCormick, posthumously awarded the Medal for Conspicuous Gallantry. |

South Park for the macro level satire on society. Family Guy for the micro level satire on relationships. The Simpsons and King of the Hill fall in the category of all too true for me. |

Used t like South Park but tired of it years ago. Never liked Family Guy. Y'all forgot Bevis and Butthead. One of the worst shows I ever tried to watch. |

I liked both but after about season 4-5 they weren't as funny to me. |

Family guy is nice to paint by. But I prefer American Dad. Somewhat more structure to the plot and Stan isn't an asshole just to be an asshole like Peter is 95% of the time. South park you actually have to pay attention too. |

I've seen about three South Park episodes and haven't seen any Family Guy. Must admit, though, that I found Team America (by the South Park guys) hilarious overall – takes the p**s out of everybody. |
Dynaman8789 | 15 Dec 2018 6:00 p.m. PST |
Team America – the movie that thinks the word starting with F makes a funny movie. It does not. |

2 thumbs down on both American Dad , Futurama & Beavis and Butthead being even worse |

I won't watch any of them, including the Simpsons. "everyone loves an under achiever" what a load of codswallop. |
Militia Pete | 18 Dec 2018 4:21 a.m. PST |
South Park Always a message in the show and mocks PC culture Family Guy is the same thing over and over again. South Park had their number where they point this out. Simpsons use to be my favorite show. But then I grew up. Been on way to long.

South Park and The Venture Bros.and Robot Chicken and Archer. There are several other small run Adult Swim shows than have run in the past, such as Lucy, Daughter of the Devil that were very funny. And never forget Sealab 20121. |
Gunfreak | 20 Dec 2018 2:14 a.m. PST |
I don't get the Simpson. Yeah first 9 seasons were good. The 20 following seasons are just yellow family guy episodes. Any grounding that made Simpsons good was thrown out and your get family guy type stories with teletubbies firing lasers out of their holes. When 2/3 of a series is bad, is it really good? |
Uesugi Kenshin | 20 Dec 2018 3:58 p.m. PST |
Now, neither. I watched SP up until 3 years ago. By then they had really lost their touch. |

I like both South Park and Family Guy. I can't choose. The Simpsons is not remotely similar to Family Guy. Every episode of the Simpsons ends on a good note. The Kids are loved by the parents and Homer is always trying to do the right thing. Family Guy is often the opposite of that. The characters in Family Guy are selfish and in it for themselves. Just look at the way Meg is treated in Family Guy compared to the way Lisa is treated in The Simpsons. Very different. I like them both. I also like Robot Chicken but some of the skits are a too much for me. I generally record it and do a little fast forwarding. |

Many Simpsons episodes doesn't end on a good note (after season 9) They become stupider and sillier trying to compete with family guy. In the first 9 seasons they did play a little with braking reality. But past season 9. They dropped any pretence, that Springfield was a generic small town. It became a fantasy land. Early in the series many episodes was about the families financial problems. In later episodes homer will go from being poor to just pulling money out of his as. To being poor again (much like Peter in family guy) Originally Simpsons was just a regular family sitcom that could do some stuff others couldn't because it was animated. But later it just became sillier in an attempt to be yellow family guy. |
