On a scale of 1 (poor) to 10 (great), how do you rate the Savage Worlds ruleset? |

I haven't played or read through it yet though I've bought one of the core rulebooks. |

9 for the core mechanics. The actual game depends on the setting, adventure or expansion being used. Some are better than others. Rippers, Solomon Kane and Interface Zero being especially good. |

10 or 12 years ago, I wrote my own Star Trek expansion that I called "Bat'leth". The rules are easy to adapt, although I primarily use them for role-playing and not minis combat. |

I rate the original at 9.5 (A few of the concepts I've modified for my use.) I Kickstarted the latest version, so I've been able to read the set as they go through iterations of errata, and the core looks slightly changed with some things broken out from where they were, and others combined. It does look good. |

I'll second a high rating for SW Interface Zero 2.0 |

7.5 sorry, never could get too enthusiastic for it. Still, competent and workman-like and well supported. It's a shame they never did more with the miniatures game end of it. |

8. It worked well for the Deadlands setting, not as well elsewhere. Just for comparison, I'd give D&D a 7. David Johanson, it is based on a set of tabletop miniatures rules that play really well. Savage Worlds Showdown is a free download you might enjoy. I used it to help intro my kids to mini's gaming. We used 54 mm plastic soldiers to recreate scenes from movies like Wind and the Lion and Zulu. |

Somewhere between 8 and 9. |

It's very good but has it's limitations, a solid 8. |
