I've been away from Napoleonics for about 12 or so years now and wanting to resume I went to the ruleset website that we used to use, being Follow the Eagle V then. Much to my dismay I see that the Eaglesoftware domain is "for sale" and defunct. After doing a search here on TMP, I found that the last date that Dave was active here was back in January 2009. Elsewhere, I found a worrying reference to the late David Watkins. Is this really the case? Does anyone know any details please? Does Follow the Eagle VII game system still exist? Thanks for any information Stef (Kaleut) |

Last I heard about 2 – 3 years ago (maybe longer) Dave shut down the web site, though I believe one of the Members continued to keep the FTE Forum going. Not sure if it is still active though as last time I tried to sign on it didn't recognize my log in info, but that was quite a long time ago. Hopefully someone can offer further info! |

Stef, I believe that both Follow the Eagle and Dave are lost to us, I'm afraid. If you're looking for similar computer-moderated games, you might like to check out Carnage & Glory. They do a similar job in a subtly different way. You can't edit quite so many aspects of Carnage & Glory's "black box" but the programming has moved on a lot. carnageandgloryii.com |

The magazine shut down abruptly in 2011 after Dave had issues with printers = not sure of their nature. He passed away a few years later IIRC. |

Thanks for the extra information guys, so sad Dave has passed away. @ 22nd Foot, that was the feeling I was getting. I'll certainly give Carnage & Glory a try, thanks. @rct75001, thanks, the last date I could find was Jan 2009. Thanks for being so helpful. |
