I have just received an e-mail from the HMGS BOD telling me "The Distlefink is BACK. Renovations taking up part of that room have been completed."

I think we need to hold an emergency convention--possibly the week following Christmas?--to take advantage of the situation before the "temporary" drywall and plastic sheeting go back up. No telling what things could be like by spring.

I don't think that was "temporary" drywall…whatever they might mean about the Distelfink being "back" the room itself will never look like it used to and will never accommodate the same number of games.

So Distlefink will be much smaller?

Pretty sure that wall was temporary to hide all the construction materials behind it.

The wall was temporary support while they poured concrete upstairs in the kitchen. The pour got delayed but once it was finished the temporary wall was going to come out and we'd have the whole Distelfink back. Sounds like they finished it.
