This completes the series of proposed scenarios of Soult's campaign in Portugal. The six scenarios present some under appreciated conflicts that helped undermine Soult's original plan to sieze Lisbon.

Note that the scenarios are presented in draft form and do need testing and eventual revisio, but do feel free to use them with your favourate rule set. We use a DBA variant for the Horse and Musket era (DBA-HX3)where each stand represents either a battalion of infantry or a regiment of cavalry.

The conflict at Amarante is unique as it contains four seperate engagements with each successive battle bringing more troops into the conflict.

Thanks for posting. Looking forward to seeing how the rules perform when you play these!

Durban Gamer,

I have added a few more optional rules that will add texture for Peninsular War games. These will allow battles fought over a number of days to have variable start and end times, troop and command quality will also be addressed and guerrilla activity will also be touched on.

These will be included with the battle reports. We should begin testing during the holiday period.
