It didn't look high octane to me, I'm afraid. |

The only thing that seemed clunky was the damage point system. Mind you, when I was a kid I read – and loved – the rules in Barry Carter's "Naval Wargames" book and they also had the same type of damage system, so it will be nostalgic for me! The rest seemed pretty clean and straightforward. There's no series of to hit rolls, armour penetration rolls and saving rolls like some other games. I like the idea of the wake counters; not only does it show the speed at a glance, but the smaller boats might lose control going over the wake of larger vessels at high speed. Looking forward to it! (Did anyone else notice the author's opponent cheated miserably? Or perhaps he's just poor at math when it comes to adding up dice rolls?) |

@Tony$ -- I noticed that, too. Or else the starting Hull Points were different. |
