Well, there wasn't a 20+ option….

I have 10+ but I only play King of the Battlefield.

Cavcmdr, may I ask what you you like about King of the Battlefield?

I too have 10+ sets, none of which really captures the flavour of the period for me.

Command & Control is a key element for me. It was very different than the Napoleonic period. Commands were sometime formed into "Columns" (mainly Austrian's trying to co-ordinate attacks, such as at Hockirch) and sometimes into "Lines" – we read that so & so had command of the first line and so & so had command of the second line. Sometimes cavalry was divided into "wings" or large groups of regiments. Sometimes brigades or groupings in reserve. Sometime a command was the whole of the infantry – the Old Dessauer was often given this under Frederick.

Might & Reason is one I like for Grandt Tactical games, and is largely focused on Command and Control.

Difficult question. Was the poll referring to rules specific to the period like Warfare in the Age of Reason or something like Black Powder or Sharpe Practice that could apply to the period?

Yeah, I'd like to see a really good breakdown of KotB

What the poll was referring to doesn't always enter into it around here!

I voted 1, for the rules I use to play FIW and would use for continental games if I ever expand my collection = Donnybrook.

If you have that many rule sets, how in the H@ll do you decide how to base your figures?!?

Wait a minute!!! 23+15+12=50, where the other 50%?
