Has anyone purchased the E or S boat or Fairmile from H&R? I saw that they were making these in 1/300 about a year ago in a WI magazine. Was wondering about using them in Cruel Seas. Also, for crew, could I use H&R artillery crew? I'm sure the various coastal forces wore helmets when going into action but not sure if they wore specific naval uniforms. thanks |

No idea, Bob, but I love the thought of having crew on naval wargaming boats – sort of brings it to life! Love to see some photos if you do get some and paint them up. Nick |

I just ordered three 1/300 coastal boats from H&R. My order was much larger until the 40% postage to the US clicked in. Wow! Elsewhere on TMP is a photo of a 1/300 scratch-built with crew from Langton. I cannot find these figures on the Langton site. We may have to wait until Warlord sells them separately. |

I cannot find these figures on the Langton site. link Figures – per pack of 24. Choose from the following: NNL38: Officers & Ships Co. NNL39: Gun Crews NNL40: Landing Party NNL41: British Artillery NNL42: French Artillery |

I have the old H&R Vosper and S-Boote as well as two plastic models that came with the latest Wargames Illustrated magazine. The H&R is slightly shorter though is also an earlier version of the Schnellboote. So it may be appropriate. Hadn't thought about adding crew. Have to go dig through my gubbins box. |

Heroics and Ros are advertised on their web site as 1/600 scale, half the size of Warlord's boats. |

4D, they have two ranges, one is 1/300 the other, much larger range in 1/600 – the former Skytrex range |

@Virtual… -- Thanks. I saw those figs but they were Napoleonic. I wasn't sure if there were WWII crew somewhere else. Re: Heroics & Ros -- In their web shop: "Coastal Forces 1/600th Naval Range" are indeed 1/600, matching those from PT Dockyard "Landing Craft & Ships" are the old Skytrex 1/300 and match boats in Warlord's Cruel Seas Q#1: I found some old Navwar coastal boats. The product numbers are the same as H&R/Skytrex. Are Akytrex old Navwar (or vice versa)? Q#2: Does anyone have reference to old Navwar product info and can identify these packs -- NT-140 (gun and crew); NTP-25 (guns); NTP-22 (guns); B-46 (guns). Thanks |

Q1 – Navwar boats are now H&R. 1/600th Skytrex are now sold by H&R too. Can't help with Q2. |

@ Schgun: indeed, I wouldn't have found those in a month of Sundays. |

@shogun, at 1/300 a lot of the Napoleonic crews pass for whatever you want them to be. :) The ones on my picture are select napoleonics. |
