I tried making my own roads the last couple days and I'd just rather pay for some nicely made ones. Mine warped (and I tried to actually avoid it) and after a couple tries I realize it's just not worth it to me.

So, let's here of some manufactures that offer some nice flexible roads and rivers for 15mm WW2 gaming.

Thanks

Though they are in Australia I have order from them here in the states without any issues:

I just ordered some samples of the latex ones from QRF. Hope to pick up the package to day but in the photos they look very nice.

I may add them to my assortment over at ScaleCreep, com

I bought one of these from Cigar Box and have been very happy with it. They lay nice and flat, but then I use Cigar Box mats too.

The larger roads are about 2" across the smaller about 1"

Also they have a sale going on right now if you by three or more mats, ends soon.

BTC, Battlefield Terrain Concepts are in the states and do nice flexible rivers and roads in various widths as well as custom. They have fields, hills, fences and all sorts of nice stuff. Great service and Doug is a great guy. He also hits the major cons each year.

They don't offer any roads on their site, but I'm assuming they sell them? Any pictures of them anywhere? I'll use my google-fu to see if I can find anything

the roads from Wargamer's Terrain are very nice.

I got a set for 28mm, and I like them.

I have bought and use Novus Studio's rivers and they are very nice, their service is excellent. I haven't yet bought any of their roads but plan to with some birthday money and the Christmas deal. (probably not enough for the free shipping but I will live)

Check out Fat Frank on ebay. UK based but nice. Cheap and cheerful.

I'm tempted by the Novus Design stuff and I know they're latex, but they look a little on the thicker side. How well do they contour to hills and the like?

Novus Design Studio06 Dec 2018 12:56 p.m. PST

captaincold69, our rivers and roads are made of a very durable urethane rubber. The rivers are approximately 1/4 inch thick (excluding banks)whereas the roads (gravel & dirt) are 1/8 inch thick.

As far as flexibility, both product lines have the approximate give as….say an extension cord.

Hope this helps and thanks for your post.
