living only 15 miles from the battlefield at weston zoyland it is a local battle, my only criticism would be the mountains in the top picture background, the sedgemoor levles are really really flat!

i attended the 300th aniversary re encatment in 1985, it was held almost on the battle site.
during the battle i was hit on the head with wadding from one of the kings cannons, i still have the wadding!
one interesting thing i noticed, when the cavalry were charging around the field they were creating ripples in the soil, like waves on the sea, it is all on wet peaty soil, like most of sedgemoor.
